    Tip Tuesday: 23 Mobile Things ~ Twitter {In the Library}

    3 December 2013 / 0 Comments

    Twitter is a social networking platform that allows people to communicate with each other in 140 characters or less. It’s quick, it’s easy, and you wouldn’t believe how adept you become at expressing yourself with a limited amount of characters. I’ve used Twitter for a little over 5 years now and, for me, it’s probably one of the easiest ways for me to stay in contact with my bloggy buddies, librarians and other information professionals. While I don’t always participate in the conversations that are taking place, I do follow the discussions and try to keep up with topics of interest to me. Currently, I’m following #NPRBlacksinTech, which is an…

    Tip Tuesday: 23 Mobile Things {In the Library}

    26 November 2013 / 0 Comments

    I’ve always considered myself a bit of a tech junkie. I think that’s part of the charm nature of librarians. We like jumping in and trying new stuff. We’re explorers. We’re questioners. 21 October 2013 / 22 Comments

    So a few weeks ago I talked about how I wanted to spruce things up for Autumn because, well, I just don’t have the insert whatever word here to decorate my house. My original plan was to simply update my profile picture isn’t it cute? but that led to me updating my Twitter profile, which carried over to me updating the cover photo on my Facebook page, and ended with me overhauling my blog.  Snowball rolling down hill, anyone? Of course,I now have to change my signature so that it matches the feel of my new blog. sigh So, I started looking around at different signature creators, rolled my eyes, and thought, why…

    Five Tips for Updating Your Profile Picture {Tip Tuesday}

    7 October 2013 / 5 Comments

    What is it about Autumn that makes people think pumpkins belong in everything? It does not. Pumpkins are good for three things: decorating, making pies, and describing a shade of orange. That is all. deep cleansing breath I have issues with pumpkin mania but that has absolutely nothing to do with this post except that the insanity starts in Autumn and Autumn makes me wanna change everything… Usually, I focus the changing on things like my closet. You know, organizing my collection of cardis, checking my tights for runs, etc. But this year, I decided to do something a little different. I decided to update my profile picture to match…
