Two days ago, while out driving with Miss 18, I got a little lost and ended up in a town called Burfordville. Burfordville is a sleepy little historic town which boasts one of Missouri’s few remaining covered bridges as well as a mill that was built in 1800, damaged during the Civil War and later rebuilt. If you’d like to read more about the Bollinger Mill Historic Site, you can click here (there are also some pretty sweet pictures of the mill and the bridge).

While wandering around, my daughter and I noticed a little antique shop and decided to look around.  The owner was gracious enough to allow me to take pictures.

The store is located in a home that was built in the 1800s and still has the original hardware.

The store is full of all sorts of beautiful old things ~ cast iron pans, needle point purses, vintage irons…

But I think one of my favorite pieces is the flower brooch that Miss 18 picked. Isn’t it beautiful?
