Ageless Style: Cozy Cardigan
As the blogger and photographer behind Living Outside the Stacks, I independently select and write about stuff I love and things I think you’ll enjoy too. Living Outside the Stacks has affiliate and advertising partnerships so I get revenue from sharing this content and from your purchase. Thank you for your support.
I am so very late with this post. I’m not sure how, but time seems to have escaped me. So, here I sit, binge watching You while I pull this post together. I don’t know why I’m watching this show. It. Is. Absolutely. Insane. But, obviously, I can’t stop watching it. Circles, y’all, circles.
ABOUT AGELESS STYLE
Welcome to Ageless Style! Ageless Style is a monthly link-up hosted by eight beautiful women of a certain age who want to show you that style is ageless. Originally hosted by Carrie of A Simple Lovely Life, she has regained the reigns after a bit of a hiatus. The rest of us responded to a call for cohosts and the rest is, as they say, history. Each month, one of us picks a theme and then we all create an outfit based on that theme. Keep reading to find out more about the other bloggers and to link up your style posts.
THE THEME
This month’s theme, “Cozy Cardigans,” was selected by Bojana.
MY OUTFIT
I remember reading somewhere that cardigans are a librarian’s lab coat. And, yeah, that’s one of the most accurate things I’ve read in a long time. I have a cardigan for every day of the week with enough left over to swap out a couple of times over. Why do librarians wear so many darned cardigans? Because libraries are freaking cold!
Anyway, this is one of my favorite cardigans. It’s one of my chunkiest cardigans and I love it for so many reasons: the color, the knit, the coziness, the pockets, the buttons… It’s also pretty versatile. It can be worn with dresses, jeans, and overalls.
WHERE DID I WEAR IT
The Hubs is a car person. Before we moved to Louisiana, he used to race cars and show them at car shows. Other than the heat, the smell of burnt rubber, and all the dirt, it was a whole lot of fun. But we hasn’t done any of that in long while and I certainly haven’t attended any events with him in a long time. However, I saw that our local coffee shop, Tamp and Grind, was hosting a Coffee and Car show in downtown Alexandria, so we decided to take a look. You can see some of my pictures on Instagram and the rest will be posted on the blog later in the week.
One of the outtakes from my photo session because, well, it’s me doing what I’m always doing: scrolling Instagram while waiting for my pictures to download.
