Hi, welcome to the Ageless Style Linkup. The linkup runs the first Tuesday of each month and features 10 women over the age of 40 styling an outfit based on one theme, and, because we’re all so different, each theme interpretation is different. MY LOOK
Y’all, it has been a weekend. I know, it’s Tuesday, but I’m still recovering. The Hubs and I drove to Chicago over the weekend for my cousin’s wedding and I’m so. very. tired. It’s a 15 hour drive from our house to Chicago and, well, I’m not young anymore. LOL My body felt every minute of those 15 hours. But it was totally worth it. I mean, just look at the happy couple!
So, this month’s theme is shoes and I couldn’t be more excited. I am a shoe girl to the core. In fact, I used to host a weekly series called Shoe Style Saturday. But the funny thing is, I never thought about flat sandals as “appropriate” wear for dresses. I thought it was too casual of a look.
But I really wanted to wear this dress to work. However, I didn’t want to wear heels. We’re working 10 hour days, so I need to be comfortable. After trying on several different pairs of shoes, I decided to give these sandals a try and I really liked the way it looked. I can honestly say, these flat sandals are a game changer. I can see me wearing them all summer – with dresses, jeans, shorts, and skirts.
