How about this weather? Did y’all get any of the snow or ice? We did. And I was not prepared. When we left Pennsylvania, I tossed all of my winter gear. I was just that positive that I’d never need it again. Then Louisiana was all “Hey, girl, lemme talk to you for a minute…” There is ice and snow everywhere. But I’m gonna limit my complaining because we’ve only lost power once and that was for a little bit over an hour. Those of you who are in the path of the storm, please stay safe and prepare as much as you can before it arrives.

Welcome to Ageless Style! This month’s theme, “Sparkle and Shine,” was selected Carrie. Carrie was the creator and one of the original co-hosts of Ageless Style. A few weeks ago, she put out a call for cohosts in the hopes of reviving the linkup. Myself and seven other ladies were invited to join her. One of us will select a theme for everyone to interpret and then we’ll share our outfits on our blogs. I look forward to showing you all that style is ageless.
MY OUTFIT
Those of you who visit my blog on a regular basis, know that my style is very boho. But I also have a thing for bling. This sequin tank has been in my closet for years and is one of my most prized clothing possessions. I know, I know, that’s a strong statement, but I mean it. When I first signed up for Pinterest, I stumbled across this post and was instantly enchanted by the outfit. I’m not sure if it was the colors or the sparkles that got me, but I knew I wanted to recreate it. The star of the show is, of course, the sequin tank. But that citron cardi makes a statement as the fun side kick. You can see my versions of the outfit here and here.
I decided to create another version of the outfit for this challenge. This time, however, I’m closer to the original inspiration image: my earrings are citron, my cardi is chocolate brown, the tank is bronzed sequins, and I’m wearing jeans. The only thing I’m really missing is the neutral colored knit tones, but I think those are kind of reflected in my ring and bracelet fringe.
This is my sweet Bleu… The whole time I was taking pictures, she was lounging in the corner until, finally, she’d had enough and demanded my attention. Good thing she’s cute.
