Another week has come to an end. sigh This is our last week of short days at the library. During the summer we work from 8 AM to 4 PM and during the school year we work from 8 AM to 5 PM. I know it doesn’t seem like much, but that hour really does make a difference. But I’m thinking time should pass quickly, since the students are coming back on campus at the end of the week, the work load will pick up so here’s hoping, right?
A few weeks ago, I was in the thrift store and I found this chair. Something about it called my name but I left it at the store, not really sure why. Well, no, that’s not true. I thought the hubs wouldn’t like it and I kinda need his help to get it in the truck. Anyway, I went back late last week and bought it. I’ve been trying to get back to the store to pick it up but my work hours and the store hours are completely opposite. I’m hoping I can get in there today. My plan is to reupholster it and maybe paint the frame, we’ll see. For the record, he doesn’t like the chair but he’s willing to reserve judgement. Besides, it only cost me $5.
I finally set up a coffee station in my office. Best. Move. Ever. I’m surprised it took me as long as it did. Y’all know I needs my coffee. Don’t you just love the mug in the picture? It was a gift from a friend. I love being surrounded by my things in the office, it just makes it feel a little bit more like home. I’ll post pictures as soon as I finish setting things up. Yeah, I know it’s taking me a minute but I’m trying to hold off on removing things from the house until we move and we find out what won’t work in the new place.
Last night the boy drove me in to town. It was his first time driving the truck in the evening. He did a pretty good job. I was able to kick my feet up and relax for a few minutes. This teaching the boy how to drive is a hard thing. Really, this was supposed to be the hubs job, I gave THE TALK, he’s supposed to do the driving. Hmmmm…. This is not working in my favor. Then again, maybe it is. I no longer have to run into the store to get things, I can just give him the money and send him in, call it payment for being allowed to drive my truck.
