So I’ve been on a quest to find a pair of clogs since I donated a pair of really cool vintage leather clogs with flowers on them many years ago. I don’t know what I was thinking. I don’t know why I gave up those clogs. I don’t know why someone didn’t grab me around the collar and slap me silly. But whatevs… The clogs are gone from my presence but not my memory. moment of silence, please.
Anyway, for the last few years I’ve been searching for a pair of clogs that could equal or come close to the pair that I gave up. I’ve finally accepted that nothing beats vintage, so I started looking at new stuff. But I still couldn’t find anything that just screamed “buy me” or, at the very least, whispered “these’ll do.” Then I saw these clogs on Zulilly and thought why not?
They’re a Mary Jane style, which is what I was looking for because I wanted something I could pair with bold tights in the Autumn. But since I couldn’t wait for Autumn, I decided to pair them with a pair of distressed jeans and a sweet little polka dot shirt. But now that I’m looking at the outfit, I’m thinking these shoes would look really cute with the same top and a cute little skirt, maybe a pencil skirt? Hmmmm… Ideas are percolating.
And just so you know, I still have my eye out for a pair of vintage brown leather clogs with flowers on them.
