Make August Beautiful {Living Outside the Stacks}

As many of you know, August is going to be a touch month for me: my middle daughter is returning to college, my twins are starting to college, and my baby is beginning her last year of high school. This is all too much. I’ve been trying to figure out a way to celebrate this new stage in our lives and document it without losing myself to tears and sadness…

This isn’t a sad event. Just different. I know that The Hubs and I raised our children well and that they’re ready to take on the world. We’ve provided them with the confidence and fortitude to be their own people, to stand up for what they believe in, and to help those in need. But, most of all, we’ve instilled in them a faith in God that transcends all things. So we know they’ll be OK.

But, they’re still my babies…

So I will cry. And I will laugh. And I will say “See you later” to the ones who are beginning the next phase of their lives and celebrate with the one who is ending a chapter. I will document the moments and share them with you on Instagram {I’m 4daenelt}. I hope you’ll do the same with me.

Celebrate the month of August with me by joining my friend, Beatrice Clay at inspired by beatrice clay, for 31 Days 31 Photos 31 Stories. Use the hashtag #31stories.

If you plan to join in, leave your Instagram name in the comments below so I can follow along!
