Not in any way authentic Ramen, just something I threw together and wanted to share because it was so good.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 package Ramen {any flavor}
  • 1 egg
  • 5 or 6 shrimp {deveined}
  • 2 cups of water
  • Everything but the Bagel Seasoning

DIRECTIONS

  1. Bring water to a boil and add shrimp. Cook until shrimp are pink, then add the Ramen.
  2. Boil for two minutes. Stir in the seasoning package.
  3. Turn off the stove and carefully add the egg. Do not stir or break the egg {it may be easier to crack the egg into a cup first}.
  4. Carefully cover the egg with Ramen. Let sit for 1 minute. The hot water and Ramen will poach the egg.
  5. Pour into serving dish and season with Everything but the Bagel Seasoning.
  6. Enjoy!

I shared this picture with my daughter who is a vegetarian and she suggested swapping out the shrimp and eggs for vegetables. Shrimp, vegetables, beef, pork, any of those would make a delicious alternative.

If you decide to try this recipe or switch things up I’d love to hear about it.
