ABOUT STYLE IMITATING ART
Style Imitating Art challenges us to draw style inspiration from pieces of art. My main tip for participating is not to just look at the colors but look at the textures, think about complimentary colors, etc. In other words, you don’t have to be literal your interpretation. It’s all about looking at the items in your closet in new and creative ways — mixing colors and patterns and just having fun.
INSPIRATION ART WORK
I took this picture waaaaaay back in 2012 when I first learning about photography. I look at the image and I see all the technical errors, and I cringe but I love the colors. The pinks, the browns, the golds, and the creams. There’s also bits of green and burgundy.
I can’t wait to see what you wear. There really are so many options.
This week’s inspiration piece was curated by me. My blog is all about life away from the library.
Send a picture of your Style Imitating Art inspired outfit to me by Tuesday, 12 March. I’ll share the submissions on my blog on Wednesday, 13 March.
Now go play in your closet,
