Thirtysomething years ago, The Hubs and I met and married at Fort Polk, where we were both stationed with the U.S. Army. My time at Fort Polk was centered around my family, Army life, and the most amazing food I’d ever eaten… My favorite time of the year was {and still is} crawfish season. Coffee and Cars: 23 October 2021
The Hubs is a total car guy. Whenever he talks to me about them, I get the same glazed over look in my eyes that he gets when I talk to him about photography. Truth be told, I like looking at old cars, I even like riding in the car when he races, but I do not like discussing them. Fortunately for him, he has a bunch of friends who totally enjoy those conversations and they leave me to take pictures. Getting to Know Cenla: A Visit to the Melrose Plantation
Remember last weekend I said that I was stepping out of my comfort zone and going to a photography class? Well, I never made it to the class because I got lost. However, I did end up at this really interesting historic site called the Melrose Plantation. When I arrived, a tour was about to start, but I decided to wait and return with The Hubs. We went back yesterday and I was able to take a few pictures.
