Rollin’ Like a Boss
For years, every time my family wanted to go somewhere we had to take two vehicles because there wasn’t enough room in one car for everyone. Truth be told, the only time it really became an issue was when we wanted to take a vacation or visit family but, for the most part, we were all on different schedules so we rarely traveled en masse until we moved here. He Gave Me Life {Faith}
Sometimes I think what my mirror sees and what my camera sees are two different people. My reflection is always young and smiling, full of energy and ready to take on the day. My photographic image is about 30 lbs overweight with the slightest hint of crows feet forming in the corners of my eyes. I, like most women, pick myself apart, not realizing that when I criticize myself, I’m criticizing my creator. I’m calling into question His handiwork. Knowing God by Name {Bible Study}
Today marked the beginning of the second week of the “Knowing God by Name” bible study and I have to say, this has truly been an awe inspiring study. In the first week, we learned the names of God that indicate His deity: YAHWEH ~ LORD {Jehovah, Self~Existent One} ELOHIM ~ GOD {Mighty, Strong, Prominent One} ADONAI ~ LORD {Master} RISHON VA~ACHARON ~ THE FIRST AND THE LAST ADONAI YAHWEH ~ SOVEREIGN LORD Each of these names proclaim that God is the LORD of lords and God of gods, there is no one above Him, He can do anything, He is the beginning and the end… I’ve always known that…

Knowing God By Name {Word Filled Wednesday}
When I was a little girl, I hated my name. I mean, I absolutely positively hated my name. People used to call me “Danielle”, “Darlene”, “Daniel”, etc. All perfectly fine names, but not my name. It wasn’t until I was an adult that I fully appreciated the uniqueness of my name and it wasn’t until I had children of my own that I understood the power of names. This week, I started a new study with the Women’s Bible Café called “Knowing God by Name: A Personal Encounter” by Mary Kassian. Today my church family is celebrating the Home Going of our pastor’s father. When I Think of the Goodness of Jesus {Word Filled Wednesday}
When we moved to Missouri, I tried not to think about all the things that I’d be giving up {a career that I loved, people I enjoyed working with on a daily basis, etc.} and focus on the things that I’d be gaining {living closer to my family, a promotion for the hubs, etc.} but it was still scary. I practically hyperventilated every time I thought about all the bills. Bills we still had to pay. On one salary. Yes, the hubs got a promotion but it didn’t come with a two~person salary increase.
