Lola is totally lying. We were eating dinner and she {and her little friend, Bleu} were begging for our food. So behind bars they went. Lola’s just a little better at the pathetics than Bleu is. Do you have a workspace at home that you consider yours? You know, a place where your stuff is — your computer, music, etc? Well, this used to be my space, but it has now become my girls’ bedroom {yes, Bleu and Lola now have a full on bedroom in our house}. We’re in the process of relocating…

Hey! How’s 2022 treating you so far? This first week has been off to a rocky start for me. My family has had to deal with a couple of non-COVID related medical issues. And, I’m not gonna lie, it has been overwhelming. However, things are smoothing out so maybe 2022 will get better? Do you make resolutions? I don’t. I used to do so but then I’d get frustrated when I failed to meet my goals. That’s why I no longer write blog goals. Life is stressful enough without adding to the internal drama. This year is all about eliminating any and everything that doesn’t bring me joy. PHOTO INFO…

My Photography Project: Christmas Mini
The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other. – Burton Hills CHRISTMAS CARD READY I wasn’t sure what to expect when I was asked to meet this sweet family at Grant Christmas Tree Farm for our Christmas Mini. The skies were overcast and the weather a bit chilly, in fact, the girls were shivering but you can barely tell from the images. They were such pros. The oldest one even offered posing suggestions, which I happily accepted. A FEW MORE FAVES Have a Very Merry Christmas! Happy Snapping, Follow Living…

My Photography Project: Mommy and Son Photo Shoot
“She loved a boy very, very much — even more than she loved herself.” – Shel Silverstein MOMMY AND SON Toddlers are fun. And they do what they want. I learned that very quickly with this shoot. I’ve never done a styled shoot with a little before, so I went in thinking I could direct and pose. Nope. After I relaxed and decided to follow his lead, we were able to capture some really beautiful images that captured the connection between him and his mom. He told us he was going to Target after we finished to get a drink. This kid knows how to de-stress. …

My Photography Project: Birthday Shoot
“Count your age by friends, not years. Count your life by smiles, not tears.” — John Lennon THE BIRTHDAY SHOOT My coworker and I have been trying to arrange a photo shoot for a little over a year. This past Friday, it finally happened. We decided to set the shoot for 8 AM and, y’all, it was so hot. But Netartia kept her cool and we were able to get some amazing shots. I hope you enjoyed your day, My Friend! Happy Snapping, LET’S CONNECT Follow Living Outside the Stacks on Bloglovin’!
