    Mother’s Day Photo Dump: Arkansas

    21 May 2021 / 0 Comments

    Y’all, I got to spend Mother’s Day with my daughter, her boyfriend, and her pups, and I couldn’t have been happier.     Happy Mother’s Day {In the Cafe}

    12 May 2013 / 0 Comments

    This is one of my favorite pictures of my sisters and me with my mom; it was the first time we’d ever seen snow. We totally gobsmacked.  I hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day. I did absolutely nothing, which is exactly what I wanted. Thank you to my children who threatened to force me to spend the entire day with them. Follow my blog with Bloglovin

    Happy Mother’s Day

    13 May 2012 / 2 Comments

    One of my mother’s favorite sayings is “Give me my flowers while I’m still living.” Meaning, don’t celebrate me and talk about how much you love me after I’m gone, tell me now while I can appreciate it.  I used to think that was such a hard thing to say until my father passed away a few years ago and I wrote a post about how much I loved him and would miss him.  Seriously, it’s so much easier to tell people you love them while they’re still with you and it’s better for the soul.  So, Mom, here are your flowers… My sisters and I were raised in church.  In…

    Happy Mother’s Day

    8 May 2011 / 8 Comments

    This morning my kids did something they’ve never done before ~ they made me breakfast.  In bed. I got up because I heard Squeekerz scratching at my door, not because he really wanted to be in my room but because he wanted to be away from the kids.  Have I mentioned that our dog hates everyone in the family unless they have bread or Girl Scouts cookies ~ preferably the shortbreads but he’s been known to pilfer a Tagalong or two?  Anyway, I got up to open the door and the dog came charging into the room at full speed as only a half Chihuahua half Jack Russell Terrier (Jackihuahua?…
