Mother’s Day Photo Dump: Arkansas
Y’all, I got to spend Mother’s Day with my daughter, her boyfriend, and her pups, and I couldn’t have been happier. They treated me like a queen — homemade cinnamon rolls and mimosas for breakfast, shrimp and grits for dinner, and a photo walk… It was relaxing, therapeutic, enlightening, and everything in between. Whenever I travel, I like to take pictures of the public library. The buildings are almost always quite interesting architecturally and the light tends to be beautiful. However, the Argenta Branch of the William F. Laman Public Library was closed… Maybe next time. There’s always a bar called “The Library.”…

One of my mother’s favorite sayings is “Give me my flowers while I’m still living.” Meaning, don’t celebrate me and talk about how much you love me after I’m gone, tell me now while I can appreciate it. This morning my kids did something they’ve never done before ~ they made me breakfast. In bed. I got up because I heard Squeekerz scratching at my door, not because he really wanted to be in my room but because he wanted to be away from the kids.
