Ladies, I am so digging tunics and jeggings/leggings lately. I remember a few months ago, I wrote about how I wasn’t certain this is a look that I can carry off but, yeah, I think I can. I was concerned that 1. I’m too old for this look and 2. that it isn’t professional enough for work. Well, you know what? Bump the age thing. I WEAR WHAT I WANT!! Thank you, Suzanne {from Suzanne Carillo}, for your oh~so~self~affirming post on dressing age appropriately.

Since it was fairly warm, I paired my tunic with a pair of white jeggings, in Autumn/Winter I’ll pair it with black fleece lined leggings and boots {like Suzanne shows in her post}. I also think the key to making the look more professional lies in the accessories. The necklace was a gift from The Hubs {his good taste extends beyond his choice in wife ~ hahaha} and amps up the dressy factor.  And the wedges also help too. I could easily have chosen to wear pumps but I had to do a lot of walking that day so comfort was key.

Now let’s just look at that tunic for a minute… Isn’t all of that lace just scrumptious? Three layers of lace and tulle. I felt kinda like a ballerina. The material is stretchy so I didn’t have to worry about it clingy in all the wrong places. And the pattern hides the bits and pieces that I’d rather not put on display. So, yeah, I totally think this is a look I’ll be wearing for awhile.
