Week 9 Diptych {living outside the stacks}

Week 9: Diptych

Nikon D7500 | 50mm | f/4.2 | 1/25 | ISO 1000

2018 saw the introduction of a new 52 week photography project, which has me totally excited. This year I want to really step out creatively and learn/practice new skills. I’d also really like to do more than just make photos of my morning coffee, although I do enjoy that.

I follow some of the most talented ladies on Instagram and one of them is Dana Walton. If you’re on Instagram, go give her a follow, I’ll wait. She has been posting the most beautiful diptychs on her feed and I’m feeling all kinds of inspired. I love her photography style, it’s so clean and focused. And the documentary style appeals to me.

I think I’ll spend the month of March photographing my day to day. Not just the little snapshots that I sometimes do. I want to purposefully think out the shots and have them tell a story – the story of my life. I mean, it is my birthday month and I think it’ll be a cool way to document my entry into my 45th year.

Happy Snapping,

Daenel T {Living Outside the Stacks}
