On our way home from an appointment, the hubs and I decided to take a little detour and look for the Old McKendree Chapel. The Old McKendree Chapel is the oldest Protestant church structure standing west of the Mississippi River, along the way, we passed this beautiful old home and I had to take a picture. This or That Thursday {Getting to Know Missouri}
Two days ago, while out driving with Miss 18, I got a little lost and ended up in a town called Burfordville. Burfordville is a sleepy little historic town which boasts one of Missouri’s few remaining covered bridges as well as a mill that was built in 1800, damaged during the Civil War and later rebuilt. I’ve said it before, but I have the navigation skills of a monkey in a windstorm. I used to be able to drive myself across state lines without so much as a map, gps or cell phone without getting lost, now I spend 85% of my time listening to that infernal “Recalculating” over and over and over again.
