No Cell Phones in Hospitals, Or How the Hubs Almost Killed Me
The hubs will tell anyone who asks that he prayed that God would send someone like me into his life. He will also tell them that he should have been a little more specific in his request, you know other than “Please let her be smart and pretty enough that I don’t have to close one eye to look at her.” He should have added “And let her be a mature responsible woman who doesn’t act crazy in hospitals.” Really, some of our best funniest stories have occurred in hospitals. I think this moment is probably one of the top times when the hubs has seriously rethought his prayer request……

It Was All About Her, But Really It Was All About Me
We’re not allowed to talk about the time before Miss 14 was born. This is a family joke that started when she was about 5 and discovered that we had existed as a happy family of six before she was born. Lunch with Miss 14, So Worth It
This weekend I was supposed to be in St. Louis hanging out with my bloggy friends at Show Me the Blog but do you know where I am? I’m at home. On the sofa. And I’m OK with that. Yesterday my daughter, Miss 14, invited me to her school to eat lunch with her. Apparently, this is a tradition at their school. For the parents to bring food to the school and eat with their children. I didn’t know about the bringing in the food part, but I’ll get to that later. Shades of Autumn Photo Challenge: Orange
If I thought last week’s challenge to find something yellow was next to impossible, I cannot begin to explain how hard finding something orange was… Seriously, where is all of the orange stuff? Actually, there are a few people who’re missing her ~ her family, myself and the many bloggers who’ve complained about the lack of coverage that Jahessey’s receiving. But you wouldn’t know that if you were simply relying on the media to provide information. Five~year~old Jahesseye Shockley of Glendale, Arizona has been missing since 11 October when she was last seen at home by her three older siblings while her mother was out running errands.
