Denim Jacket White Tee Red Skirt {living outside the stacks} Daenel T

Hi, it feels like it has been a long time since I’ve updated the blog. I know it has been even longer since I’ve responded to all of your comments and, for that, I apologize. Life has happened and it has caused me to have to put quite a few things on the back burner. I do plan to catch up over the next few days though…

Fab Forties Badge

The Fab Forties is a group of five style bloggers from around the globe who come together once a month to share their common love of fashion. Each month we choose a different theme and invite a guest blogger, who is also in her forties, to join us. The group’s goal is to take on a style trend and show how we each interpret and incorporate it into our lives. Six different ladies, six different styles, you’re sure to find something that inspires you.

The Theme

This month’s theme was chosen by me and it’s “The Color of Your Love.” February is all about romance and love – be it for family, friends, pets, or hobbies. So I thought it’d be fun to show how what colors reflect our love.

My Outfit

My love is deep, rich, vibrant, and bold like my skirt. It’s also soft and easy like my tee. And worn and comfortable like my denim jacket.

What color is your love? Is it soft and pastel, deep and saturated, or is it a mix of colors and patterns? Leave a comment letting me know.

Dee {Dee Sayz}

Don’t you just love Dee’s top and those fabulous gold pants? And. Those. Shoes. I’m going to say the color of Dee’s love is rich and royal.

Sheela {Sheela Writes}

Sheela is – gosh, we need a new word – fierce! Those shoes look dangerous. Love them! Sheela wrote that “…white symbolizes purity. Love that strives to stay as untouched by the troubles of the world as possible, to rise above obstacles all relationships encounter. And the red? A spot of passion. A spot of va va vroom because no matter our orientations, we all need that spark to make the heart skip just a beat. Breath catch a smidge. A slight curve to the lips when reminiscing upon a particular memory. Moment.” Jaw drop.

Shelbee {Shelbee on the Edge}

I adore Shelbee’s outfit. The colors and textures are everything. Shelbee chose her outfit “…well because I love loudly and boldly and colorfully and with all sorts of crazy quirkiness.”

Suzy {Suzy Turner}

I love Suzy’s outfit. It’s so pretty and delicate, yet strong {look at those moto boots}. Suzy wrote that she “…went with traditional red lol.” I think Suzy’s love is strong and passionate with a bit of whimsy.
