 Halston Cardigan Black Tee Laurie Felt Bootcut Jeans Floral Ankle Booties {living outside the stacks}

Do you ever get up in the morning, look in your closet and think, I have nothing to wear? Or do you feel totally uninspired by what you see hanging up? That was me last Friday. I think I tried three different looks before I ended up sitting at the foot of my bed and watching TV.

Fridays are casual days for us at work and, as much as I love wearing my jeans, there are times when I’m just not sure what to wear with them. Weird, huh? I mean, they’re jeans. I can wear anything with them and I’ll be fine. But I don’t know, I just wasn’t feeling anything that I had on, so I turned to Pinterest and found this outfit.

The deep saturated colors in the inspiration photo are what captured my attention. I thought it looked somewhat relaxed but still professional enough for a day spent mostly working on paperwork and end of month reports. I mean, really, dark denim is always office friendly, don’t you think?

And that cardigan is super cozy – like a blanket, which I need in the library, because it’s sooooo cold.

The outfit is simple, so I jazzed it up with my floral ankle booties. Do you own floral booties? How do you wear them? I’ve been at a loss since I bought them, but they were so cute that I couldn’t leave them in the store.

Where do you get your style inspiration? Do you do little things to make the outfit your own, or do you stay as close to the inspiration as possible?

Now go play in your closet,
