    My Photography Studio: The Beginning

    When we were moving to Louisiana, The Hubs and I were certain of two things: we wanted our main living space to be on one floor and we wanted a space to park our RV. What I had not thought about was a studio space, but The Hubs and I were talking about the unused bedrooms that we have upstairs and he suggested I turn one into a studio space. I don’t know why we didn’t think about this sooner. It’s genius. As you can tell, the room is in pretty rough shape right now. The carpets need to be replaced and the walls need to be painted. I’d also…

SOOC Nikon D7500 | 35mm |f /1.8 | 1/160 | ISO 400 This was taken outside in my backyard, late evening, overcast skies. The Hubs was working on the RV and Squeekerz was begging to go back inside. He’s a diva and won’t sit on the grass or the concrete. Camping with him is a lot of fun. That being said, I…

    Week 4: Happiness Is…

    Welcome to week three of my Project 52: 2019 Edition. If you’d like to see the prompts that I’m using, read this post. Anyway, as promised, I’m showing the Straight Out of Camera {SOOC} image too, so you can see what I started with and how it ended. SOOC Nikon D7500 | 35mm I was sitting in my office on the floor with the light from the window facing me. I forget the exact camera settings and I accidentally deleted the details when I uploaded the photo. And now that you can see my office, you can see what I mean when I say I need to paint it. I’m…

    Shoot the Moon {A Tutorial}

    You guys, this is my first photography tutorial! cheer I’m not by any stretch of the imagination a professional, but I have been asked to share how I achieve some of my shots, so I thought why not? I cannot stress enough that you really need to know how your camera works in order to make the best images. After you learn what does what, take your camera off Auto and learn to find the light.…
