When we were moving to Louisiana, The Hubs and I were certain of two things: we wanted our main living space to be on one floor and we wanted a space to park our RV. What I had not thought about was a studio space, but The Hubs and I were talking about the unused bedrooms that we have upstairs and he suggested I turn one into a studio space. I don’t know why we didn’t think about this sooner. It’s genius.

As you can tell, the room is in pretty rough shape right now. The carpets need to be replaced and the walls need to be painted. I’d also like to change out the light fixture and the window covering.

Admittedly, the space has a lot of odd angles, but I think that’ll make for interesting shadows once the studio is ready. And I can always add more lighting if needed. If you’d like to see my style inspiration, visit me on Pinterest.

Have you converted any unused rooms in your home into a space just for you? What do you use the space for?

Now go play in your closet,
