What I Wore: How I Styled My Barrel Dress and Mesh Tee

I swore up and down that I would not get a Tik Tok account so you know what that means… I created a TikTok account. Originally, I’d planned to use it for sharing style pictures because my daughter kept sending me all of these chic style ideas from different accounts, but I ended up using it mainly for gardening and shopping. Lots of shopping. I mean, those TikTok shops see me coming and they know I love a boho look.
WHAT I WORE
This barrel dress was an easy purchase. I love the shape, the neutral color, the flexibility with the overall straps, and the fabric. And paired with the mesh tee and the chunky sandals, it just screams fun and relaxed.
Do you see that silver coming through by ear? I’ve always wanted a streak of grey!
Feel free join me for coffee on Instagram.
While I’ve paired this dress with a mesh tee for the Spring, come Fall and Winter, this dress will look super cute with a knit cap, chunky cardi, and a pair of combat boots. Can you see it? Not rushing the cold weather, but I can’t wait.
WHERE I WORE IT
I wore this to work at the library. It was an easy day at work, so I knew I could be a little more casual.

When I ran across this week’s Style Imitating Art inspiration post, I knew my dress and tee would be a perfect fit. While not an exact match, the soft muted colors in the painting are mimicked in my dress and tee. And, if you squint real hard, my mesh tee looks a little landscapey, don’t you think?
