My Summer Vacation: Part 1
Hi, I just wanna give you a head’s up, this post is photo heavy. I don’t have a lot to say except I cannot wait to go back for a visit and I’m hoping it’s in the fall because I cannot imagine how beautiful these spaces are with the changing leaves. On the day we visited, everything was covered in the most mysterious, yet beautiful fog.
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, hanging with your adult children and realizing that you like the people they’ve become is a whole nother level of momming. This is the first time that I’ve actually hung out with my son for an extended period of time {in his home}, where it’s just been the two of us, and it was amazing. We’ve been planning for me to visit him for years, but “stuff” kept happening, but everything fell into place this year. We talked and ate and walked around his hometown and I fell in love with his community.
HANGING WITH MY SON
All of the pictures {except for the breakfast picture} are from our day trip to Brattleboro, Vermont.
FOOD
We started with breakfast at his favorite spot, Silver Spoon, in Easthampton, MA. I cannot recommend this place high enough. I had the Avocado Toast {2 eggs any style, with avocado, bacon crumbles, and everything bagel seasoning} with a side of home fries. Oh. My. Gosh. It was soooooo delicious! My son had the Home Fry Bowl {turkey sausage, scrambled eggs, home fries, onions, pepper, and cheddar cheese} with a side of toast. There was so much food. I wasn’t hungry for the rest of the day. That does not mean I didn’t eat though. The boy knows his restaurants!
I love Greek food, but I didn’t realize how much until I tried this pita pocket from Pita Pockets. Y’all…
