May is going to be my month. I promise. Not to you but to myself. I need something, anything, to be consistent in my life. And I’m choosing this. My blog. Why? Because I pay a yearly hosting fee, monthly photography-based fees, and countless incidental fees to maintain this space and I need to do something with it other than check on it every few days to make sure it’s still accessible.

My plan is to go back to sharing my outfits because I truly enjoy seeing what other people are wearing and that’s where I get a lot of my inspiration. This also helps me find something quick and easy to wear on those not-so-great days when all I wanna do is climb back into bed because nothing fits right, the shoes don’t work with the outfit, and the birds chirping just make me wanna cry.

I’d also like to revisit my Coffee Talk series. Those were a fun opportunity for me to vlog about whatever happened to be on my mind that week. And, goodness knows, there’s a lot going on all around.

And, of course, there are my book reviews. I really do enjoy those. I just have to actually focus on reading instead of doom scrolling.

My plan is to add all of these items into my Artful Agenda monthly planner {which I’ll be providing a review on soon}. If you’d like to give the Artful Agenda a try, they’re offering a free trial or you can go ahead and make a purchase using my code: RD1028912.

WHAT I WORE

I big puffy heart dresses, but they’re followed very closely by jumpsuits. I love the ease of one-and-done dressing, which is why this jumpsuit from Kantha Bae is one of my faves. Why? Just look at all the colors, the prints, the shape, everything. It just screams ease of wear and fun. And each sustainable, one-of-a-kind garment is made by women from upcycled vintage saris, which aid in providing a living wage for women to support their families, protecting the planet from unnecessary waste, and allowing me to be the truly unique individual that I am.

The background of my jumpsuit is a charcoal black color with white stitching, with a floral/leaf pattern. The flowers are in shades of pink and orange, while the leaves are in beiges, browns, and oranges.

Whenever I wear this jumpsuit, I tend to play up the pinks by wearing pink glasses and hibiscus pink earrings. Although the earrings aren’t a perfect match, I think the “goes with” quality works here, because, honestly, nothing here really matches. Even with all of the colors in my necklace {which is made from beads and vintage saris}, there’s nothing in there that really matches. But that’s the fun of wearing vintage pieces.

Another thing that makes this jumpsuit a repeat wear, keep forever item in my closet is the shape. I love the flowiness. The legs are wide, which allows me to wear a variety of shoe styles from high-heeled, thick-soled boots to clogs to ballet flats {which I happened to be wearing on this day}.

Oh, and POCKETS!!

WHERE I WORE IT

I wore this to work. It was one of those rare days when I didn’t have any meetings or campus visits on my schedule, so I knew I’d mostly be at my desk. On desk days, I tend to dress a little more relaxed but creatively.
