Hey, y’all, hey. How’re you doing? I’m sitting here, staring out my window. I think we’re at the third or fourth day of rain and I’m sooooo over it. It’s both cold and rainy. I cannot deal with both. First of all, I cannot handle being cold. I keep my home/car/office temp at 75° minimum, so you know these 30° temps have me close to tears. And then you add in the rain too? I just wanna grab my blanket and finish reading The Meaning of Mariah Carey. Alas, I must go outside because I have to work to support my pups.

WHERE I WORE IT

This kimono was gifted to me from Rangeelaa but all views shared are my own. If you’d like to see other pieces from Rangeelaa, click here.

I wore this kimono to run errands and do a bit of grocery shopping. I also grabbed dinner from Outback {for the record, I’m addicted to their brownies}.

Before you go, can I tell you how comfortable these jeans are? They’re my absolute favorites. They have a true blue 70’s vibe that goes with just about everything. And they have the perfect amount of stretch — I’ve learned that you have to be careful with jeans that stretch: DO NOT PUT THEM IN THE DRYER!! While the pair of jeans that I did put in the dryer didn’t shrink, they did end up with these weird striations and ripples down the front of the thighs.

The mix of prints is what first captured my attention — look at the way the florals blends into the almost animal-like print. It reminds me of vintage wallpaper with vase of flowers. Do you see it? I was also drawn to the colors because they’re both bold and muted at the same time. I know, how is that even possible?

While I’ve opted to wear this kimono with jeans, I could easily wear it with a dress, skirt, or slacks. As for colors, well, there’s no end to the possibilities because the whole kimono reads as a neutral. In fact, once it’s warm enough, I’ll layer my kimono over a velvet slip dress that I picked up a few months ago.
