I don’t know why, but I feel like I’ve written something like this before… If I have, hopefully, my refrigerator looks better, cleaner, more full? I don’t know. It is a couple of days after pay day, so we have stuff. Yay, us. So, keep reading to find out what’s in my refrigerator…

THE PROMPT: What’s in my refrigerator?

Admittedly, I’m not a great grocery shopper. I go through all the trouble of making menus, then I shop according to the menu, and, when it comes time to cook, I forget the what and the why. Even when I put the ingredients together in the refrigerator. It’s like I have some sort of mental block against meal prepping. Which is totally weird because I absolutely love when we get our Hello Fresh deliveries. Delivery day is the highlight of my week because I know we’re going to eat something different and exciting. We’ve been getting the deliveries for so long that I don’t have a favorite meal. I truly enjoy them all.

When we were house hunting, one of the things we were adamant about was not having a galley kitchen and, what did we end up with? A galley kitchen. Best laid plans, rights? But, honestly, the kitchen works for us. There’s plenty of cabinet and pantry space, although we could use a little more counter space. And, seriously, look at that window!

I saw this refrigerator in the background of a commercial {have no idea what the commercial was for} and spent weeeeks trying to track it down. It took almost 4 weeks for it to arrive after I ordered it and then the delivery man damaged it while bringing it into the house and tried to hide the dent with his hand while I signed the paperwork. No, Sir. I heard you when you swore when it banged into the door frame. I had to fight with him and the store, but 2 weeks later, I had a new refrigerator.

Can you tell I love cinnamon rolls?

You’d think we were feeding an army with all the eggs we buy, but we just really like eggs.

I line my shelves with shelf liners for easy clean up and because it makes the refrigerator pretty.

I’m not a Dasani water drinker. That’s The Hubs. I prefer Fresca. I’m lactose intolerant, {“I cannot tolerate lactose,” Jerry Seinfeld} so we compromised and started drinking Lactaid.

The view of our dining room. Actually, it’s the breakfast nook, but this is where we eat because we didn’t need or want anything quite so formal as a dining room. We turned the dining room into a second living room, but I’d really like to convert it into a library or something along those lines. I don’t know. We’ll figure it out. Maybe.
