Hey, how are ya? Things are going well I’m my side. I haven’t been up to much… I added some new plant babies to the family {you can see them here, here, and here}. I keep trying, y’all. I’m not good with plants but I love them so much. They remind me of my dad — he kept our house full of plants when we were kids — and I’ve been missing him so much lately. This time around, I’m taking the time to learn about my plants and figure out what they need. I’m following several plant parents on Instagram as well {that’s where I got the idea to put my plants in the tub and give them a little shower}. Do you have plants in your home? How do you care for them? Are there any plant bloggers or Instagrammers that you follow?

ABOUT WHERE BLOGGERS LIVE

Welcome to the monthly edition of Where Bloggers Live. It’s kind of like HGTV’s “Celebrities at Home,” but…Bloggers! Who doesn’t like to peek behind the scenes and see inside people’s homes? Over the next few months, we’ll share about our work spaces, home towns, and more!

I should note – because this is super important – the creative brain behind this project is Bettye at Fashion Schlub! Love her!

THE THEME: TRAVEL

I can’t believe I didn’t share these pictures here or on Instagram. A few weeks ago, The Hubs and I went to Minden, Louisiana to visit the site where they did an episode of HGTV’s Home Town. And, because it’s just our luck, everything was closed. I keep forgetting I’m in the South and everything shuts down on Sunday. A few weeks later when I was able to visit during the weekday, I mentioned our visit to one of the shop owner’s, she looked a little shocked and said: “Well, it’s the Lord’s day, Honey.” That was our only day off, so… Hopefully, The Hubs can go back with me on a week day, so we can have lunch at one of the local eateries.

{Live, New Orleans, LA}

That being said, I’ll be heading to New Orleans in a few months for our system-wide conference and I’m pretty excited about that. I used to live in New Orleans, so I get excited anytime there’s an opportunity for a visit. Granted, it has changed a lot since I lived there. Still. It’s one of my favorite places.

Generally, when I travel, I pack a lot of pieces that can be mixed and matched. You can get a rough idea of what I’m talking about by visiting me on Pinterest. I do it because I know everything will go together and I’ll have an outfit for just about any event. Really, there are few things more stressful than going somewhere and finding out that you don’t have the appropriate outfit for the event and then having to try to find something to fit.

IT’S YOUR TURN

Will you be traveling this summer? Where are you going?  If it’s for business, do you have a travel formula that you follow?
