This morning when I woke up the air was crisp, I welcome break from the triple degree weather we had when we first moved here and the high 90s that have dogged us for the last few weeks. Loose Threads and Random Thoughts
Do you like taking pictures? I’m not talking about just snapping pictures of your kids while they’re little so you can remember how sweet they used to be once they become teens? New House Tour: The Living Room
I love my new house. One of the things I knew I wanted in our new place was a lot of light. I was never a Seinfeld fan until it went off the air and I started watching it in syndication. I just didn’t get it, a show about nothing? Not funny. I was wrong, it is. But I digress. The hubs never ceases to amaze me. Today I was sitting on the sofa, working on my notebook, when the hubs walked in and said “Stand up”. Hurricane Irene: Would You Ride It Out for the “Experience”??
I’m sitting here watching the news coverage of Hurricane Irene and the one thing that strikes me is the stupidity of people. Governors in 10 states have already declared states of emergency and/or ordered mandatory evacuations, yet, there are people who are adamant about remaining in their homes. What? One guy actually said he wanted to “experience a hurricane”. “Experience a hurricane”? Why in the world would people want to stick around to “experience a hurricane”? Have these people not watched the news and seen the death and the destruction that can result from these storms? Do they not remember Hurricanes Andrew or Katrina? Crazy Days of Summer: My Favorite Summer Memories
I’ve enjoyed this challenge so much. Seeing the pictures that others have taken, makes me want to do better, aim differently, focus on one feature and just have fun.
