Foyer {Living Outside the Stacks}

Hi, and welcome to my home. I hope you’ll enjoy your visit…

Foyer {Living Outside the Stacks}

The console table is from Annie Laurie’s Antiques. If you’re ever in the area, you really need to pay her a visit, she has some of the most unique items. In fact, if you come back for another visit, you’ll see a few other items from her store that I’ve placed around the house.

Have you ever received a gift from one of your kids and wondered What in the world am I gonna do with this? That’s how I felt about that lamp when it was given to me by Mr. Seventeen. I think he was all of seven years old when he bought it at a yard sale. With his own money. It was dirty, shadeless, and wobbly. Now it’s a beautiful lamp that lights the way into our home.

It’s no secret that I love monkeys. Like seriously love monkeys. As in, I would adopt a baby monkey and raise it if the hubs would let me. But the hubs is very anti~monkey, so I have faux monkeys hanging out all over the house. I think it adds a bit of whimsy and creepiness {even I’ll admit that first monkey is pretty scary looking} to each room.

Do you have a quirky obsession? How is it reflected in your living space?
