    Black Bow Flats {Shoe Style Saturday}

    Black Bow Flats: Kmart Yesterday ended my first week at the library. While some things are still pretty new, in many ways it feels like I’ve always been there. Don’t you just love when you ease into a new place and instantly feel comfortable? Most of this week was spent with housekeeping ~ enrolling in benefits, getting my email set up, cleaning up my office, etc. Next week, I hope to actually get into the business of running my department ~ getting some training, finding out exactly what everyone in my department does, etc. Oh, you don’t know what I do?     First Day Jitters Instagram Style {In the Library}

    Today was my first day at my new job. I was so incredibly nervous. The day began with me standing in front of my closet desperately trying to figure out what to wear… I ended up going with a pair of black flats with a bow on the toe. It’s a chance to exchange ideas, share projects and talk about the different jobs within libraries. I’ve participated in the Library Day in the Life Project whenever I’ve had the opportunity because I believe deeply that libraries provide vital services for the communities they…

    2012 {To Be Read List}

    According to that sweet little widget on Goodreads, I met my goal of reading 12 books during the year 2011. Hmmmm…. that may have been my stated goal on Goodreads, but I didn’t come close to making my personal goal. But I will celebrate the small victories and aim to do better next year. I had a whole list of books that I wanted to read, you know, some were classics, others were books I’d heard about through my internet wanderings and the rest were ones I saw that had interesting covers. Yes, I do judge books by their covers. What of it? In the coming year, I’d like to…
