November Photo A Day {Instagram}
Time for another week in review, Instagram style. I’m so enjoying this Photo A Day Challenge, it’s fun to look back over the week and see all that’s happened. The prompts may seem random but it really requires a bit of creativity to capture memories… Day 18: happened this weekend The hubs made dinner for us: Hamburger Helper for himself and the kids and big ol’ hamburgers for me. This made me incredibly happy. Day 19: something awesome Can I get a “What? What?” The hubs made dinner two nights in a row! Pork steaks, rice and stuffing (he’s not much of a veggie man). Day 20: work/play Even with…

November Photo A Day {Instagram}
It’s a lazy Sunday afternoon and I’m sitting here reviewing last week’s pictures from Fat Mum Slim’s Photo A Day Challenge. My inner critic is wishing that I’d been a bit more creative with the prompts but the quitter in me is celebrating the fact that I have 10 pictures posted. one of my favorite mugs from Earth and Wears what’s more colorful than shelves of books in a library? breakfast date with the hubs yes, our TV is hanging on the wall above the stairs kickin’ back in the recliner right now I’m totally diggin’ my boots from Sebago view of my kitchen in the hall mirror I drink…

November Photo A Day {Photography}
I’m not sure why I keep doing this to myself. Maybe I’m a glutton for punishment or maybe I’m just hoping that one day I will actually complete an entire month of photos. And, well, I kinda like this month’s Photo A Day prompts. I’ll be posting my pictures on Instagram (you can follow me by clicking here) and then doing a weekly wrap up here on the blog. Would you like to participate? Here are the rules: Starting 1 November take a picture using the inspiration from the prompt. Once you’ve taken your photo, share the picture on your blog, Facebook page, flickr, Instagram or Twitter or other preferred social media page. If you’re sharing…

Instagram Love {This or That Thursday}
I’m one of those people who begged and pleaded for Instagram to come to Android. So when it finally became available, I downloaded it almost immediately and then proceeded to forget about it. I know, right? How much sense does that make? I’m not exactly how long I went without using it but one day, I was playing around with my cell phone camera and I decided to try Instagram. Oh. My. Gosh. What had I been waiting for? I was absolutely smitten. And from that moment on, I’ve had to stop myself from snapping every moment of my life. It really is quite addicting. Here are a few of…

Gold Gladiator Sandals {Shoe Style Saturday}
Another week has come to an end. sigh This is our last week of short days at the library. During the summer we work from 8 AM to 4 PM and during the school year we work from 8 AM to 5 PM. I know it doesn’t seem like much, but that hour really does make a difference. But I’m thinking time should pass quickly, since the students are coming back on campus at the end of the week, the work load will pick up so here’s hoping, right? A few weeks ago, I was in the thrift store and I found this chair. Something about it called my name…

First Day Jitters Instagram Style {In the Library}
Today was my first day at my new job. I was so incredibly nervous. The day began with me standing in front of my closet desperately trying to figure out what to wear… I ended up going with a pair of black flats with a bow on the toe. I wasn’t sure how much walking I’d be doing and the campus has a lot of hills. I was happy with my choice, I totally ended up doing a lot of walking. In the hot Missouri sun. I would’ve been miserable if my feet had hurt too. I work as a librarian at the Kent Library at Southeast Missouri State University. It…

My Weekend {Instagram Edition}
How was your Easter weekend? Ours was pretty nice. Church was incredible ~ how could it not be, we’re serving a risen savior!? The kids and I enjoyed a wonderful French Toast breakfast prepared for us by the hubs. Seriously, moving to Missouri has brought out some hidden culinary skills in that man. I would have taken a picture of our breakfast but, um, the food looked too good to stop everyone from digging in, so you have a picture of our coffee cups. I took a couple of hours out of my day to go to the Conservation Center and reflect on life and all of the blessings that…
