Where Bloggers Live: Put Your Records On
If you read my Ageless Style post last week, then you already know two things about my musical taste: We were not allowed to listen to secular music My first Walkman was a game changer My mom and stepfather are both preachers, so we grew up in a conservative household where we were not allowed to dance, listen to secular music, play cards, blah blah blah… So I used to listen to Contemporary Gospel artists like The Clark Sisters and the Winans. Their gospel music was set to a funky beat that my parents were able to {barely} tolerate. But I loved them. Two of my favorite and most often…

Here I am to Worship sung by Heather Headley. When I listen to this song, I just visualize Christ suffering all sorts of torment, being nailed to the cross and then rising after three days for me ~ I can’t help but to weep way down in my soul…. Is there…

Day 1: My Favorite Songs (I Can’t Pick Just One)
I love music, unfortunately, I’m not very musically inclined. Well, except when I’m in the car ~ then I turn up the radio and totally rock out to some of my favorite songs. Sometimes, if I’m really “feeling it” I’ll pull over on the side of the road and try to force the kids to sing along with me. I couldn’t pick just one song because there are are so many that mean a lot to me for various reasons, so I decided to break them down into categories and offer two selections from each one. Overachieve, much? Classical Somewhere in Time by Maksim Rhapsody on a Theme of Paginini…
