A Road Trip to Georgia {living outside the stacks}
Y’all, I just spent the weekend with my daughter and her girlfriend in Georgia. When I tell you having adult children is a whole different level of momming, I’m not kidding. I love my kids, I love them dearly, but the one thing I’m most proud of is how much I genuinely like them. And, gosh, it makes my momma heart happy that they want to hang out with me.

While my daughter drove and Katie kept her company, I napped in the back. Not gonna lie, being able to relax on the road was super nice.

I had to get a snap of this poster of The Lady Chablis. I remember seeing her in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil {I need to add this to my TBR shelf}.

Katie and Brya humoring me while we wait for our lunch at Tin Drum. They had Ramen and I the most delicious Citrus Pad Thai with Shrimp.

Jasmine Tea {living outside the stacks}

At my daughter’s suggestion, I also had a bottle of Jasmine tea. Y’all, if I can find a place that sells it online, I’m so stocking up.

We stopped at Georgia Wine Smoothies for some beat-the-heat beverages. If you’ve never been, I highly recommend. You can see the video here.

and a Peach Sangria Wine Smoothie for me.

Humoring me yet again.

The girls insisted that I try some fresh honey, which I’d never had before. As you can see, I still didn’t taste the honey because I was busy snapping away.

The clerk was very knowledgeable about the different types of honey and made suggestions for food and drink pairings.

Oh, I did taste the honeycomb, with a slice of green apple and a bit of cheese. It was delicious, if a bit waxy. But I’d definitely have it again, with a variety of fruits and cheeses.

Leaving the store with our purchases: Lavendar and Rosemary honey.

As you can tell, I didn’t get very many pictures of the sites, because, well, I was enjoying my time with my daughter and her girlfriend.

Valdosta, Georgia

The girls took me on a tour of downtown Valdosta…

Of course, no vacation would be complete without some rolled ice cream {which I couldn’t have, thank you, adult onset lactose intolerance}…

I’m so happy that I got to spend some time with these beautiful young ladies. I can’t wait to do it again!
