Last week I talked about how I’d entered a fashion slump so I was using the Outfit Inspiration Calendar posted by Fab Finds Under $50 to dress each morning, and let me tell ya, it’s worked! I’ve worn items in my closet that I haven’t worn in months (years?) and put together textures and patterns that I would have shied away from a long time ago. Seriously, if you need to step out of your fashion comfort zone, I totally recommend using the calendar.

Thursday: Add Some Pink

What I Wore Thursday

I’m so not a pink girl so this was a bit tricky for me until I remembered that I’d crocheted a vintage rose scarf a few months back. The outfit itself is basic ~ cream turtleneck, denim skirt, tights and boots, but the rose colored scarf does add a bit of punch.

Saturday: Plaid with Leggings

What I Wore Saturday

Leggings, I have a love/hate relationship with them.  I almost never wear them. I love the comfort but I hate that they show so much. But, man, I love the comfort. I ended up pairing a plaid flannel~look blouse with a striped sweater. I never would have done this without the challenge. But I figured they work because of the varying shades of brown. And, honestly, I’m comfortable and I think I look rather chic.

Sunday: A Skirt as a Dress

What I Wore Sunday

OK, I made that one up but that’s exactly what I’m wearing ~ a skirt as a dress. And, yes, I realize that it’s a Summer skirt at the end of Fall but I just really wanted to wear this outfit. And, boy, did I pay. It was freeeezing. But I looked really cute. Sometimes you have to suffer for fashion, right?

The weather has been so wishy~washy lately. One minute it’s warm enough for just a sweater and the next minutes it’s cold and rainy, I hardly know what to wear from day~to~day. How do you stay warm and still look cute?
