My Photography Project: The Power Suit
Nikon D850 + 50mm | ISO 1000, 1/2500, f/4.5 The people who make you smile from just seeing them, those are my favorite people. – Koi Fresco This is an image from a photo shoot that I did for a coworker. The whole time we were together, we could not stop laughing. I think that’s part of the reason these images came out so beautifully. I mean, Mrs. Liz is beautiful but her smile and her confidence are palpable. And I feel like I was able to capture that and so much more. Whenever I’m preparing for a shoot, one of the first things I do is find out the…

I hope you all had a blessed and happy Resurrection Weekend. Ours was very similar to last year’s: we stayed home and watched online services on Sunday. I took Bleu for a couple of long walks that wore her out. We may have to build up her endurance after spending the winter in…

365 Project: March 2021
And that’s a wrap on another month of pictures… The Hubs and I celebrated 26 years this month. Our celebrations were low-key. We’ve never been one of those go all out and celebrate one day kind of couples because, well, every day demands a bit of pomp and circumstance, don’t you think? My sister and I flipped the page to chapter 48. I can’t believe we’re 48. There are times when I feel like a kid playing dress up, I almost never feel like a full-fledged adult with my crap together. I hugged my parents courtesy of God’s grace and hardworking scientists. My mom has been ill for the last…

How are things in your area? I woke up this morning to snow and ice. I’m not happy. I was not made for cold weather. I like sweater weather, not parka weather. This is unbearable. Yes, I know it’s winter, but I can’t handle it. ABOUT STYLE IMITATING ART Style Imitating Art is…

The last time I saw my twin sister was in 2019. We haven’t celebrated our birthday together in years – we’ve almost always lived way too many miles apart for quick visits and life has pretty much gotten in the way of extended visits. A few years ago, she moved a little over five hours away from me…

You guys, I just completed my second photo shoot on Saturday and I cannot wait to show you the pictures. I was so incredibly nervous. I came thisclose to calling and asking her to find someone else to do it. Shooting for people is unnerving because they have expectations. When I shoot for…

We spent time with my family. Both of my parents, The Hubs and myself have all received the vaccine. I didn’t have any real side effects. With the first dose, my arm was incredibly sore for well over a week. With the second dose, I felt nothing. ABOUT AGELESS STYLE Welcome to…

Where Bloggers Live: Why Not Do It Yourself
The Hubs and I celebrated our 26th anniversary on 11 March. Yes, we got married the day after my birthday. What was I thinking? I don’t really have a story about how we met because it’s one of those stories that is best heard rather than written. And it has to be told by the both of us because we each have our own version {mine is accurate} but I like to give him space to share. However, I do have a story about how he rescued my daughter and me from a truck stop in the middle of Nowhere, Louisiana. Do you wanna read it? Click here. THE THEME:…
