Hi, and welcome to Coffee Talk. In case you’re new here, this is where I share some of the great and not~so~great stuff that I find on the web. So grab a cup of coffee {or tea or whatever floats your boat} and let’s talk… 1. Imagine you hear a mother screaming because her child has been kidnapped. What do you do? Saying Goodbye to Pennsylvania
Saying “goodbye” to our home of eight years and looking forward to our new life in Missouri. Pennsylvania has been our home for the last 15 years. Sometimes I can’t believe it’s been that long. Sometimes it feels longer. When we first arrived, Miss 17 was 2 years old, Mr. and Miss 15 weren’t crawling and Miss 14 was still tucked safely inside my uterus. I know how much she likes it when I throw that word around. Now Miss 17 is preparing for her first year of college. Mr. 15 is thinking about getting his driver’s license and posing with adjusting the mirrors in my car. Miss 15 is…

Congratulations to the Newest P&G Manager {In the Family Room}
Today the hubs is officially a manager at Proctor & Gamble. And the kids and I couldn’t be prouder of him and his accomplishments. When the hubs and I got out of the Army 15 years ago, we didn’t know what we were going to do or how we were going to support ourselves, the only thing we knew was that our family had to stay together. We decided to move to the hub’s hometown in Pennsylvania. He’ll dispute this factoid but our intended term was for a period of no more than 5 years; we’ve been here for 15 years… At the time, I was pregnant with baby number…

There’s No Place Like Home
Oh, Dorothy, truer words have never been spoken… We finally made it home at 9:45 last night. To read the beginning of this journey, go here, I’ll wait... Well, no, we made it to Wilkes~Barre, Pennsylvania at 9:45, we didn’t make it to our house until after 10:30. Yes, a journey that started at 6 AM (3:30 if you count the wake up at the hotel) ended at 10 something last night. So why were we trapped in the black hole of airports also known as O’Hare International? A weather delay. Personally, I’m started to think the whole delay in Chicago thing is a conspiracy, it’s a test of patience,…

Oh the Places We Won’t Go
If you follow me on Facebook, you know that the hubs and I have been having a heck of a time getting back home to Pennsylvania… Right now, as I type this, we are stuck in the inner thigh of airports ~ Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. I know, right? Look at me blogging from the airport ’cause I’m all I wanna share my adventures in real time with my bloggy friends. We’ve been in transit since 6 this morning, it’s now 3:56 PM and I’m no closer to getting home than I was when I was curled up on the bed at the hotel. But before I get to the…

The lake was incredibly beautiful and watching people fish was relaxing. Huntsville Dam This dam is about 300 feet from my house. Hard to believe something so beautiful can be so dangerous. A few years ago, it burst and we were evacuated from our homes at 2 something in the morning. Hard part? Remembering to take the necessities and…
