Macro May: My Favorites So Far
If you follow me on Instagram, you know I’m participating in another photography challenge. #MacroMay, specifically. I know. I know. I haven’t finished any of the other challenges that I’ve started, but I really wanted to do this one. Here are a few of my favorites so far: 1 May: Spiderweb with Dew Drops 9 May: My Favorite Flower 16 May: Nailed It I don’t own a macro lens, so I shot everything with my 50mm. In a bit of unexpected happiness, this photo was chosen by Lucy Ketchum for a feature on Macro Moms. I’m still excited. Happy Snapping, Follow Living Outside the Stacks on Bloglovin’!

Rain Drops {In the Dark Room}
This week’s theme for the 365 Project: 2013 Edition is “Water”. This is one of my submissions for this week; if you’d like to see the rest of my daily pictures, click here. Such an appropriate theme for this week, it has been raining almost every day. Well, no, that’s not true. It only seems to rain on the weekends or when I have the day off. A conspiracy? I think so. Blue Thong Sandals {Shoe Style Saturday}
See those thongs? I picked them because the color just screamed”Take me home, we’ll have lots of fun together!” So I did. Big honkin’ mistake. I wore them to work and half way through the day I ended up putting on my walking shoes that keep under my desk for midday walks. My feet were killing me. I know those types of shoes have a break in period but ohmyword that was just painful. I’ve always lived by the mantra of “Fashion over function” but if your feet hurt, there’s nothing you can do to make the day better… In other news, I’ve been doing really well with the August…

Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Happy Sunday! I hope y’all had a great weekend. Mine was pretty nice. I spent it relaxing with my family. I honestly can’t think of too much else I’d rather do. Are we ready for this week’s finds? Well, here they are… 1. Love This one is from the archives. They’ve been married for over twenty some years. That’s a lot of love ’cause, whew, I’m almost at 17 and there are times when… Let me just leave it at that… LOL 2. Duplicated A picture from one of my walks through the Cape Girardeau Conservation Center. If you’d like to see more pictures, click here. 3. Trend or Trending…

Passion {Poetic Winter Photography Challenge}
I think it goes without saying that I’m passionate about my faith and my family… So I decided to share something else that I’m passionate about that many of you may not know. It’s Natural Hair. I’m in the process of transitioning from relaxed {also known as chemically straightened hair} to natural hair. I don’t talk about it because it just is… Although I think some day I may write something about the love~hate relationship that Black women have with their hair. I’m also passionate about my morning coffee… And having the light hit me the way that it did with a steaming cup of coffee in hand… What could…

Scavenger Hunt Sunday
Happy Sunday, everyone! I hope you had a pleasant weekend. I spent mine in bed, courtesy of my daughter and her cootie passing. But I’m on the mend and thought doing a little photo hunting might help get the blood pumping. So here they are, my finds for this week’s Scavenger Hunt Sunday: 1. Facial Feature This is from my archives. I’m sick, there’s no way I’m posting any of my dripping dropping facial features and no one in my family would pose for me. 2. Shadow I took this in front of my house after we returned from church. Maaaan, I just love how long my legs look. 3.…
