So it seems I’ve reached the dreaded plateau. My weight seems to have gotten stuck between 156 lbs and 158 lbs. I guess I should be happy that I’m not gaining, but I thought for sure I would’ve broken that 155 lb barrier by now.I’m more than a bit disappointed to say the least.

I think I’m going to have to look at my calorie intake and see if I need to add more calories. I’m currently holding steady between 1200 and 13oo calories and I know that too little calories can cause your body to retain weight instead of losing it. I may need to bump it up by about 500 calories. What do you think? Any ideas?

I also plan to go back to Meatless Mondays, I think this will help diversify my diet and get more fruits and veggies into the family. My friend, Mylynka, sent me a cookbook to help me out. She also wanted to save my life. I made the mistake of observing Meatless Monday on one of the high holy days of grilling and things did not end well.

With that in mind, this week, my goals are to:

  • monitor my calorie intake & adjust as needed
  • diversify my workouts
  • increase my strength training
  • drink more water
  • eat more fruits and vegetables
