Life has happened and it has caused me to have to put quite a few things on the back burner. I do plan…

Where Bloggers Love: Valentine’s Day Edition
Welcome to the Valentine’s Day edition of Where Bloggers Live. It’s a given that I love The Hubs, our kids, and grandkids. If you’re not sure about my affections for The Hubs, you can read my 10 on the 10th post. In it, I share ten reasons why I love The Hubs. And, now that our kids are adults, I don’t really talk about them on my blog too often. Our grandchildren are young, but I never write about them or share photos of them without their mother’s permission. It’s a matter of respect for them and their privacy. MEET BLEU At the urging of The Hubs, Bleu joined our…

10 on the 10th: 02|10|2020
ABOUT 10 on the 10th 10 on the 10th is hosted by Leslie at Once Upon a Time and Happily Ever After. Leslie took over hosting duties for 2020 and, in true Leslie fashion, she decided to tweak things a bit… Every other prompt will be 10 questions about a particular season or theme. Leslie will share the questions a week before the 10 on the 10th post goes live. The other prompts are asking you to make a list of things on the theme given. MY ANSWERS In no particular order, here are some things I love about The Hubs: His faith is strong – I was raised in…

Living Outside the Stacks has affiliate and advertising partnerships so I get revenue from sharing this content and from your purchase. Thank you for your support. The twenties. I’m always so torn when it comes to this decade. On the one hand, it was such a fun decade of excess and decadence, but only for a small percentage of the population. And when it came to people of color, the percentage was even smaller. I know you didn’t come here for a history lesson,…

Style Imitating Art Inspiration: Fiber Arts
Welcome to the first Style Imitating Art of 2020! I’m so happy to have you here. If you’re a regular, you’ll notice a few changes… I’ve created a new badge. I wanted something eye catching and complimentary to my blog. I created it using one of the templates available at PicMonkey. I’ve also added a new STYLING IDEAS section beneath the Inspiration Art Work area. I plan to use this section to give you styling ideas. You don’t have to follow my suggestions, I just thought it’d be fun to share thoughts on how to interpret the inspiration piece. Friday Favorites 03|52
Happy Friday, y’all! Welcome to Friday Favorites. How was your week? Mine was super busy. This was the first week of classes so everyone was oh-so busy. Next week will be a bit of the same, but a little bit slower. I have a couple of library sessions scheduled, so I’m excited about that. Did you see this week’s Style Imitating Art post? It always amazes me that we can all look at the same thing and see something so different, yet incredibly similar. I know that sounds convoluted, but take a look at the post and you’ll see what I mean. Are you a baker? You need to check…
