House Tour: The Foyer
Hi, and welcome to my home. I hope you’ll enjoy your visit… The console table is from Annie Laurie’s Antiques. If you’re ever in the area, you really need to pay her a visit, she has some of the most unique items. In fact, if you come back for another visit, you’ll see a few other items from her store that I’ve placed around the house. Have you ever received a gift from one of your kids and wondered What in the world am I gonna do with this? That’s how I felt about that lamp when it was given to me by Mr. Seventeen. I think he was all…

2014 Daily Selfie: Week 7 {In the Dark Room}
Happy Monday, everyone! Are you off today for President’s Day? I’m not. In fact, I’ll be sitting in my office trying not to fall asleep. I woke up way too early, 3 something, and couldn’t fall back to sleep. I hate when that happens. Does that ever happen to you? How do you settle back down? Here’s my week in pictures: I noticed a theme with this week’s selfies, they all involved coffee. I think I really need to diversify. What was the highlight of your week? I’m linking up with: 2014 Daily Selfie ~ Instagram: I’m doing this with a few of my Instagram friends. “Selfie” is open to…

Fist Bump Friday: Happy Valentine’s Day {In the Cafe}
If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, you know that I like to do a little something called “Fist Bump Friday”, where I encourage my friends to share something that made them happy during the week. Sometimes we get so bogged down with life and the crazy that comes with it that we forget to acknowledge the good things. So I thought it’d be fun if we all shared and celebrated together. This week I’m happy to be celebrating Valentine’s Day with the hubs, whom I love dearly and my children, who make me laugh daily. How are you celebrating love? Please share in the comments below.

House Tour: The Foyer
Hi, and welcome to my home. I hope you’ll enjoy your visit… My foyer is separated in to two parts, so I’m going to split the tour into two separate posts. The foyer is one entry way but there are two walls with two focal areas. What you’re seeing today is the area you see as soon as you walk enter the house. Since moving to Missouri, the hubs and I have discovered that we absolutely love shopping at antique stores, thrift shops, and yard sales. So many of the things that we’ve used to accessorize our home are “found” and/or reclaimed items. I think this gives our home a little more…

2014 Daily Selfie: Week 6 {In the Dark Room}
Hey, how’s it going? All’s well here, considering the crazy amount of snow and ice we’ve had. Seriously, I’m so over it. My kids haven’t been to school in 11 days. Eleven. Days. That’s just not right. Especially since I had to go to work every one of those days… Day 33 New plant purchase for the office. Hope I don’t kill it… Day 34 I think he was faking illness for attention. Day 35 Just sitting there watching everyone leave ahead of the snow storm… Day 36 Mmmmm…. Day 37 I need a fancy headset for telephone conferences, preferably one that looks like a tiara. Day 38 On behalf…

How to ID Your Pics for Use on Pinterest {In the Dark Room}
Are you on Pinterest? Do you encourage people to pin your recipes? If you answered yes to those questions, you need to make sure that you’re: Protecting your images Identifying your images And by following a couple of easy steps, you can make sure that your pictures are properly identified for use on Pinterest. When you take a picture, it’s assigned a file number. That file number is not useful for anyone except for you. You want them to see…

KeyFolio Executive for iPad Air Review {#Sponsored}
Y’all know that when I first received Inez, my iPad 2, from the hubs I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with her. I mean, I had a camera, a cell phone, and a beautiful netbook that I carried everywhere. What did I need an iPad for? Oh, was I in for a surprise. I use Inez for reading, quick blogging, taking notes, and keeping in touch with the hubs. The only reason I don’t use her for all of my blogging/typing needs is because of the lack of keyboard. Hunting and pecking on the onscreen keyboard is for the birds. And we know how I feel about birds.…
