Black Bow Flats: Kmart Yesterday ended my first week at the library. While some things are still pretty new, in many ways it feels like I’ve always been there. Don’t you just love when you ease into a new place and instantly feel comfortable? Most of this week was spent with housekeeping ~ enrolling in benefits, getting my email set up, cleaning up my office, etc. Next week, I hope to actually get into the business of running my department ~ getting some training, finding out exactly what everyone in my department does, etc. Oh, you don’t know what I do? Have you ever been out and about and saw someone wearing the most fabulous pair of shoes and thought “Wow! I love those.”? That’s what happened to me the other day when Miss 18 and I were hanging out at the Cup N’ Cork. Brown Wedges {Shoe Style Saturday}
It seems like I live in these brown wedges. They’re just so incredibly comfortable. In fact, I have a black pair just like them that I actually wear just as often. I will, at some point, get a picture of myself wearing them for proof. Yesterday I wore those wedges to Miss 15’s school. I didn’t really do much this week, between the chilly weather and being a bit lethargic, I just haven’t gotten out much. Last night, we went to church {the second night of our men’s conference} and I wore the shoes above. I’ve had them for at least 3 or 4 years, an impulse buy while visiting my sister in Tennessee. I thought boot wearing weather had come to an end. Does boot wearing weather every really come to an end though? It’s bordered on freezing here. OK, slight exaggeration but after the near 80s we were having, the 50s and 60s feels kinda frigid. Has the weather done a sudden flip where you are too? I didn’t really do much this week… The hubs got his car back, so we are once again a two car family. Happiness. I think we were both driving each other nuts. I know there are families who share a car and it works for them but I’ve had my own car since I was 20, this was hard. Yesterday, I finally got to see a Keurig in action. Shock {Nails to the Yeah}
OK, y’all, I may need you to save me from myself! Seriously, look at those traffic cone orange nails. I know I said that I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and try new shades but, dang, this is like running past the caution tape and falling off the cliff. I’ma have to reign it in… The color is called “Shock” by L.A. Colors and it is quite the shock. Every time I looked at my hands I was startled. As much as I hate the color.
