Knowing God by Name {Bible Study}
Today marked the beginning of the second week of the “Knowing God by Name” bible study and I have to say, this has truly been an awe inspiring study. In the first week, we learned the names of God that indicate His deity: YAHWEH ~ LORD {Jehovah, Self~Existent One} ELOHIM ~ GOD {Mighty, Strong, Prominent One} ADONAI ~ LORD {Master} RISHON VA~ACHARON ~ THE FIRST AND THE LAST ADONAI YAHWEH ~ SOVEREIGN LORD Each of these names proclaim that God is the LORD of lords and God of gods, there is no one above Him, He can do anything, He is the beginning and the end… I’ve always known that…

He is Our Guide Until the End {Word Filled Wednesday}
Today my church family is celebrating the Home Going of our pastor’s father. While we’re sad to lose his presence, we rejoice in the knowledge that his sleep is but for a short while, because when the trumpet sounds, he will be joined with our Heavenly Father {1 Corinthians 15:52}. The blanket will be made of 3 solid colors {dark brown, tan and baby blue} and blue, dark brown and tan multicolored granny squares. I’m trying to decide whether or not to use a contrasting yarn…

He Keeps Me in Peace {Word Filled Wednesday}
This past week and a half has been a tough one for me emotionally and spiritually. My sleep has been more fitful than usual and my waking hours have barely passed without me shedding more than a few tears. I’ve sent up the myriad questions to God about everything. Well, you know, he doesn’t have to answer to me but what he did do was provide me with the comfort that comes from knowing that no matter what I’m never alone and if I’ll just trust in him, I can lie down and sleep in peace.
