Where Bloggers Live: Where I’ve Lived
I always tell people that growing up some place and living some place are two very different things. My sisters and I grew up in Italy. Our time was managed by our parents, so traveling and exploring were left to them and school field trips. Once we hit our teen years, we’d been in Italy for so long that we took it and its surrounds for granted. We never thought we’d leave. We had the same feeling about Italy as some folks have about their hometowns. We don’t appreciate the things that tourists travel to see. ABOUT WHERE BLOGGERS LIVE Welcome to the monthly edition of Where Bloggers Live. It’s…

Introduce Yourself
Hi, I’ve noticed a few new faces around here, so I thought it’d be fun to share some random facts about myself. I hope you’ll take a few moments to introduce yourself. 📚 I was a Nancy Drew fan as a kid. Then I moved on to Danielle Steele and V. C. Andrews {I think every pre-teen girl was obsessed with them}. 🎧 If ain’t 90’s R&B, I don’t want it. Well, unless it’s Motown or Prince. And don’t get me started on Lisa Stansfield. Love her. 📝 I wanted to be a combat reporter or documentarian, courtesy of Message from Nam by Danielle Steel. 🎬 I’m teaching myself videography.…

A couple of days ago there was a conversation on #LibraryTwitter about whether or not dress codes had relaxed since returning to work after being at home, in some cases, for well over a year. It felt – to my unscientific mind – like a majority of my colleagues were expected to return to business as usual, which…

Hey, so this post was written a while back. Before we’d returned to school. Although, truth be told, I didn’t get a summer break. I’m a full-time librarian, so I’m here year around. However, I do tend to dress a bit more casually during the summer. Not as casual as the picture above, but casual nevertheless… Skip ahead…
