THE GRADUATE I met Nakia my first day on the job as the new librarian at the college. She came in with a group of practical nursing students and they were trying to print their handouts before the start of classes. She looked at me and asked “Are you our new librarian?” I told her I was and she said she was happy I was there because the school had been without a librarian for a while. Mother’s Day Photo Dump: Arkansas
Y’all, I got to spend Mother’s Day with my daughter, her boyfriend, and her pups, and I couldn’t have been happier. They treated me like a queen — homemade cinnamon rolls and mimosas for breakfast, shrimp and grits for dinner, and a photo walk… It was relaxing, therapeutic, enlightening, and everything in between. Whenever I travel, I like to take pictures of the public library. The buildings are almost always quite interesting architecturally and the light tends to be beautiful. However, the Argenta Branch of the William F. Laman Public Library was closed… Maybe next time. There’s always a bar called “The Library.”…

Hi. I hope you all are doing well. Things have been a little hectic over here. We went straight from one accreditation visit at my college to a new accreditation application to graduation prep, with graduation on Saturday. Y’all, I’m physically and emotionally exhausted.
