Attending a Virtual Birthday Celebration with a Fellow Blogger
I’m screaming HAPPY BIRTHDAY to fellow blogger, Ada from Elegance and Mommyhood! Y’all, it has been so long since I’ve attended a party. Even before COVID… I’m really quite shy and will accept invitations and then bail at the last minute. So, thank goodness for virtual parties, am I right? *nervous giggle* I’m so not a dress wearer, but when I saw this dress on HSN, I just knew I wanted it. The print is so bold and funky, don’t you think? I chose to wear clogs because those are my footwear of choice, but this dress could easily be paired with ankle boots, sandals, or wedges. And, while, I…

365 Project: April 2021
And that’s a wrap on another month of pictures… I feel like I did more than drink coffee in April… Let’s see, I finally finished The Street. It was a long book but a good one. So much of Ann Petry’s words are still relevant today. I’ll write a review in the near future. The Hubs and I took a concealed carry course and are now qualified/licensed to conceal carry. I took some graduation pictures for my coworker’s daughter, you can see one of my favorites here. What was the highlight of your month? Happy Snapping, LET’S CONNECT Follow Living Outside the…

Living Outside the Stacks has affiliate and advertising partnerships so I get revenue from sharing this content and from your purchase. Thank you for your support. How was your weekend? Friday was a slow start… I didn’t finish working on stuff for my day job {librarianing} until almost 8 PM. We just finished our COE accreditation and are now going right into a SACS application. It’s so hard and tedious, y’all. Every time I think I have one section done, I re-read it and…

My Photography Project: The Power Suit
Nikon D850 + 50mm | ISO 1000, 1/2500, f/4.5 The people who make you smile from just seeing them, those are my favorite people. – Koi Fresco This is an image from a photo shoot that I did for a coworker. The whole time we were together, we could not stop laughing. I think that’s part of the reason these images came out so beautifully. I mean, Mrs. Liz is beautiful but her smile and her confidence are palpable. And I feel like I was able to capture that and so much more. Whenever I’m preparing for a shoot, one of the first things I do is find out the…
