I was Nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award
You guys, I was nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award by my Ageless Style sister-friend, Shugunna of Nzuri N Simplicity. I remember the first time Shugunna messaged me on Instagram, I knew she and I would hit it off. And I was right. I enjoy reading her blog, not just for the style tips, but for the life stories as well. I always learn something new every time I visit her blog. Thank you, Shugunna for the nomination. About the Sunshine Blogger Award The Sunshine Blogger Award is driven by the community, passed from one blogger to the next in recognition of their inspiring, creative, and motivational blogs. Style Imitating Art Inspiration: The Siesta by Paul Gaugin
{Image Credit: PicMonkey} ABOUT STYLE IMITATING ART Style Imitating Art is hosted by Salazar {14 Shades of Gray}, Kim {Fierce Fashion Blog}, and me. Style Imitating Art challenges us to draw style inspiration from pieces of art. Every other Monday one of us selects an inspiration image and we each post the image on our blogs. The following Monday we share our art inspired outfit. My main tip for participating is not to just look at the colors but look at the textures, think about complimentary colors, etc. In other words, you don’t have to be literal in your interpretation. It’s all about looking at the items in your closet in new…

Goodbye, Squeekerz
My family and I used to joke about making a plan for Squeekerz’s “after Tucker care” because we thought he’d outlive us all out of pure spite. We were wrong. On Saturday, 13 July 2019, we said goodbye to our hairy toddler. Squeekerz was a lot of personality in a small package. And I’m so happy that we had 17 years with him. When Squeekerz first joined our family, he was so tiny. In fact, he was the runt of the litter and the man who sold him to us warned me that he didn’t think Squeekerz would survive. But we decided to take him home anyway. We didn’t have…

Hi, I hope you had a great weekend. If you follow me on Instagram, then you know The Hubs and I have been going nonstop for about 2 weeks. Yesterday, we ended up cutting our visit to Mississippi short because we both needed some time to decompress. We were both beyond exhausted. So after I hit “publish” on this post, I’m gonna go veg on the sofa… So, let’s talk about this outfit, shall we? The earrings. I think…
